I guess I am a hypocrite, considering my comments on Google’s new search layout. But that’s okay, since this blog was in need of a new theme.

The most significant change in this new theme is the way comments are laid out. Newest on the top, with oldest on the bottom. Also multiple pages exist for posts with many comments. Sorry if this confuses anyone – and let me know if something is broken.

I changed the theme again, and comments simply display as multiple pages, with the oldest comment of the current page at the top.

As of the time indicated on this post, all content on this blog, excluding content owned by third parties and content otherwise specified, is now licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 United States license.

I’m not doing this to discourage derivative works or such, just to protect me. The only requirements I have for redistributing and modifying my content is that it must somehow credit me, either by name or a link back to the original page the content was found in. So feel free to “steal” my content, just give me credit when you do.

Anyway, the link provided in this post shows what restrictions are put on the license. To sum it up you basically just have to give me credit, but if you are unsure just check the linked page.

This month marks a major success for this blog. Previously it didn’t receive a significant number of referred hits per month. The only real hits it received were from Google and Yahoo, but this month that has completely changed.

The number of direct links to this blog has increased around five times more than the previous month, unique hits have well over doubled, and search engine traffic grew exponentially.

Not to mention the volume of spam I receive to the webmaster email account for this site has increased to an annoying level!

It feels great to know that people actually read my blog and use the information on it. So thanks everyone for visiting my site, hopefully the traffic will keep increasing!

Been with VPSLink quite a few months now, and I must say things are going well.

Last reboot I did myself for a software update. And the only other downtime before that was during their datacenter power failure. No biggy though – only a few hours down and they promptly credited my account. They are also taking measures to make sure this will never happen again. (Second datacenter on the other side of the U.S. work-in-progress)

The previous theme was wonderful and all, but way to common. So I’ve replaced it with a much less common theme and played around with the CSS stylesheet to make everything look like it should.

So if anyone encounters any problems with the theme let me know so I can address them quickly.
